A Message from Our President

Helen Bowers

Welcome to the website of the Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter, we are part of the Dynamic and Historic Eastern Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Our chapter membership is 200+ strong of various professions and leadership positions in this area and beyond.

We humbly service our communities under our National Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

  • Economic Development
  • Educational Development
  • International Awareness and Involvement
  • Physical and Mental Health
  • Political Awareness and Involvement

Our programming is offered via direct service to the community or through partnerships/collaborations with local non-profits. Our Arts and Letters committee allows us to support the arts including the August Wilson African American Cultural Center.

We appreciate the support received from our membership, community, sponsors, and donors through our fundraising efforts. This support allows us to award annual scholarships and fund our programs.

While on our website, please review our programs and events which are open to the public. Our fundraising activities are always welcoming and enjoyable. Follow us through our social media, Facebook, Instagram, and Eventbrite. Thank you!
