The Crimson Launch Tank Pitch Competition is an economic development initiative designed  to provide direct, meaningful support to local entrepreneurs through micro-grant funding,  mentorship, and visibility.  

Grounded in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s commitment to economic empowerment and  community impact, the competition supports both emerging and established entrepreneurs by  strengthening their ability to articulate business value, refine their pitch, and engage community  stakeholders.  

Participation is free, ensuring equitable access to capital-building opportunities while fostering  innovation and sustainable growth.  

Crimson Launch Tank is designed to:  

• Provide direct micro-monetary support to entrepreneurs  
• Strengthen participants’ ability to clearly and confidently communicate their business  value  
• Offer access to expert judges, feedback, and mentorship 
• Engage the broader community to build local support and visibility

The competition creates a pathway for entrepreneurs to grow beyond the pitch stage and into  sustainable business development.  

Competition Structure 

• Open application period  
• Application review and finalist selection 
• Mandatory virtual pitch readiness coaching  
• Live pitch competition before a panel of judges  
• Cash awards and community recognition  

Prize Structure Placement Award 

First Place $1,250 

Second Place $700 

Third Place $500 

*Awards are micro-grants intended to support business development and growth.

• March 27, 2026: Finalists Notified
• April 1, 2026: Virtual Pitch Readiness Coaching (6:00–7:30 PM)
• May 16, 2026: Live Pitch Competition (10:00 AM–12:00 PM)
