SUMMARY:Divine 9 Stepping up for the AWAACC
DESCRIPTION:Beginning in February\, in honor of Black History Month\, the Pittsburgh Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta\, Inc.\, will host its second annual fundraising drive to benefit the August Wilson African American Cultural Center (AWAACC). Join us in this crucial effort to support our cultural home in Pittsburgh! \nThe campaign runs February 1\, 2022 to February 28\, 2022. \nThe D9 organization that raises the most funds during the fundraising drive will have their name prominently displayed on a plaque that will hang inside the August Wilson African American Cultural Center\, and all other participating organizations will have their names listed in recognition of their efforts. \nAll who become members to the AWAACC will have access to: \n\nExclusive benefits as an AWAACC member (benefits vary depending on giving level)\nSpecial benefits throughout the year for those who “STEPS UP” the most\nInvitation to D9 for a special celebration in December 2022 during the We Want the Funk Festival at the AWAACC\n\nLast year’s campaign raised over $20\,000 with Delta Sigma Theta raising the most!! Let’s see if we can beat that this year! \nDonations of all sizes are acceptable. While you have the option to give a one-time gift\, you may find it easier to give a smaller\, on-going monthly gift. All donations given throughout the month of February will be tallied on March 1st\, with the Chapter that raises the most dollars being declared the winner later that week. \nCheck donations can be mailed and counted toward the campaign. MUST INCLUDE SORORITY/FRATERNITY on memo line. Check must be received by February 28\, 2022.
